Everest Pearmain is one of the main characters in The Mucklebury Sunstone.

In that story Everest and his best friends Lizzie, Cara and Tristan are pitched into a battle to preserve their way of life.

But that wasn't their first brush with adventure.

Or danger.

A week of camping on the uninhabited Bluestone Island is rudely interrrupted by the arrival of three Frenchmen.

When Everest, Cara, Lizzie and Tristan find out what they're up to, they cannot just stand by and let them get on with it.
